MIELOGOS
Research & Ideas

Language for a field still taking shape.

Symbiotic Authorship is not only a membership category. It raises questions about authorship, provenance, responsibility, creative relation, and the institutions that decide what counts.

Mielogos keeps those questions open to research, interpretation, and disagreement.

Research can inform the institution without becoming a loyalty test.
Questions we care about

A small field deserves precise questions.

Research & Ideas will grow from real work, member questions, institutional edge cases, and public debate — not from a need to fill a content calendar.

01

Authorship & provenance

What does it mean to locate human authorship when a creative process is distributed across prompts, refusals, revisions, interpretations, tools, and time?

02

Institutions & eligibility

How should prizes, journals, publishers, residencies, and professional bodies distinguish classification from their own normative eligibility rules?

03

Practice & boundary cases

Where do sustained dialogue, one-directional generation, editing assistance, tool use, collaboration, and ordinary creative influence actually diverge?

Research lineage

Before the institution, there was a question about relation.

PREPRINT · 2026

Symbiotic Dialectics

Meaning Emergence in Human–Non-Human Interpretive Systems

The preprint develops a broader theoretical account of meaning emerging between different interpretive systems. It is part of the intellectual lineage from which the institutional problem of Symbiotic Authorship later emerged.

Intellectual lineage does not make this text Mielogos doctrine.

What may appear here

Not everything needs to be a paper.

The section is designed to hold different kinds of thinking without pretending that they carry the same evidentiary status.

Research

Papers & preprints

Long-form scholarly or conceptual work with clear authorship and publication status.

Interpretation

Notes & essays

Shorter arguments, conceptual clarifications, responses, and developing ideas.

Cases

Boundary cases

Concrete scenarios that test where definitions, evidence, and institutional rules become difficult.

Practice

Methods & reflections

Accounts of actual creative practice, process design, provenance choices, and lessons learned.

Editorial principle

Label the status. Leave room for disagreement.

A research paper, an institutional interpretation, a member essay, and an exploratory note should not be made to look identical.

Mielogos will identify what a text is, who is responsible for it, and whether it represents an adopted institutional position. Publication by the Association will not automatically mean endorsement of every claim.

That distinction matters in a field where language is still being invented while institutions are already making decisions.

A growing library

Start with the category. Follow the questions outward.

The library will grow when there is real work worth preserving — not because an empty publication schedule needs filling.
