MIELOGOS
Membership

Belonging, not certification.

Mielogos membership is a voluntary institutional relationship for people who practise, study, support, edit, publish, teach, research, organize, critique, or otherwise engage with Symbiotic Authorship.

You do not need a famous name, a published book, an academic title, or a forensic archive of your creative process to belong here.

Two equal paths

Choose the category that describes your relationship to the field.

Practitioner and Associate are not ranks. Neither is more prestigious. They describe different ways of participating in the same community.

Membership category

Practitioner Member

For a human participant who, in good faith, identifies at least one work, project, or defined creative practice that they understand to constitute Symbiotic Authorship under the Mielogos framework.

Practitioner status is work-relative or practice-relative. It does not mean every work you create must be symbiotic.

Membership category

Associate Member

For a human participant who supports, studies, edits, publishes, teaches, researches, organizes, critiques, or otherwise engages with Symbiotic Authorship without presently making a Practitioner declaration.

Associate Membership is a substantive membership relationship, not a waiting room for Practitioner status.

No status threshold

You do not have to arrive already established.

Membership does not require publication, commercial success, professional credentials, academic affiliation, public visibility, an existing audience, or prior institutional recognition.

An unpublished writer, emerging practitioner, independent researcher, editor, translator, organizer, or other qualifying participant joins on the same ordinary membership basis as an established professional.

Creative practice — declaration-first.
Public identity — control verification.
How admission works

A short human process, not an examination.

01

Declare

Choose Practitioner or Associate and briefly describe the work, practice, or engagement that makes the category intelligible.

02

Verify the public identity

We establish a reasonable link between you and the public name or pseudonym under which you are applying. We are not trying to establish your civil identity.

03

Human review

An administrator reviews the application. If clarification is needed, we ask a limited question rather than infer deception.

04

Activate

If admitted, membership is recorded and activated. A public member profile, if offered, is a separate voluntary choice.

Failure to complete identity-link verification is not a fraud finding. It means only that membership under that claimed public identity cannot yet be activated.
Creative privacy

We ask for less on purpose.

The ordinary membership process is designed to establish a usable membership relationship without turning creativity into surveillance.

Passport or government ID
Civil name solely because you use a pseudonym
Home address or telephone number
Date of birth
Private AI chats or complete prompt histories
Unpublished manuscripts
AI-detector reports
Complete revision histories
What membership means

Equal standing. Creative freedom. A culture of mutual help.

Equal ordinary standing

Fame, wealth, commercial success, donor status, early membership, proximity to the Founder, or public visibility do not create superior ordinary membership status.

Intellectual and creative freedom

Members remain free to use or refuse generative systems, change practice, criticize AI technologies, question Mielogos definitions, propose alternatives, and disagree with one another.

Participation without compulsory labour

Members are encouraged to help where reasonably possible. That never creates a right to another member’s labour, money, audience, contacts, endorsement, collaboration, or personal time.

No duty to promote Mielogos

You are not required to post about the Association, recruit members, display a badge, defend Mielogos publicly, or disclose your membership.

Declare honestly. Belong freely. Help where you can. Respect the freedom of others. Keep responsibility for your own work.
Institutional life

Membership gives you a place in the Association, not ownership of it.

Within applicable rules and available capacity, members can take part in the institutional life of Mielogos.

Identify yourself accurately as a memberMembership may be public or largely private.
Connect and participateUse available Association spaces, propose initiatives, and join open working groups or member-led projects.
Inspect the institutionReceive material membership information and access public governing documents and policies.
Question itRaise concerns, criticize Mielogos and its decisions in good faith, and receive fair treatment under applicable procedures.
Leave freelyVoluntary withdrawal should be administratively simple and need not be justified.
Public visibility

Your membership record is not automatically a public profile.

If Mielogos offers a public Member Directory, listing is voluntary. Administrative email is private by default, and optional personal or creative information is not published merely because the Association possesses it.

A future public profile may include only fields the member chooses to publish, such as public name, category, region, languages, creative or professional fields, website, selected works or projects, practice description, or named creative relations.

Join Mielogos

There is a place for this kind of authorship.

Public membership will open after the final continuity, privacy, and application workflow checks are complete.

No account. No password. No creative-forensics upload.
